Reactions to Chris Dodd's Visit to Pahrump, Las Vegas

"In Pahrump Dodd was a hit" writes the Las Vegas Sun.

Nye blogger Jack Wood was also very happy to have Dodd in town:

Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd's appearance in Pahrump last night set an historical marker for Nye County. He is the first United States Presidential candidate to personally appear and speak to Nye County Democrats.

You can read more at Chris Dodd's blog. There you'll also find a field report on the Pahrump visit Dodd's meeting with Hispanic activists in Las Vegas.

Kudos to Dodd for discovering the rurals and being the first presidential candidate in Pahrump, now we're just waiting for candidates to show up in Winnemucca, Lovelock, Fallon and many other places.

Thanks for the post on Senator Dodd's visit to Pahrump last Friday. He presented himself very well to Pahrump and almost certainly gained some converts.

Also, his visit did brighten the day for those of us who live in Nevada's rurals.

I, too, am keenly interested in whether the other Presidential candidates will make the jaunts to Winnemucca, Lovelock, Fallon and into Nye County. If they don't they won't get many rural supporters.

It's just the way it is; ignore the rurals and the rurals ignore them when it comes time to vote.
